If you want to see a video of the gameplay, feel free to check out this video I made on Youtube:

This weekend, Minion Masters had a free dlc on steam, and I decided to try it out... And wow, I was surprised with how addicting this game is. It's not even stressful at all, heck it's somehow relaxing... I mean, there's something to the explosions, minions getting turned to paste, and all that, which makes me somehow sigh in contentment.

This game, is similar to 'Clash Royale', but it reminds me more of the Warcraft 3 maps: Castle Fight and Legion TD (sorta like a mix between the two)  from the old Warcraft III days. A battle goes like this: Players can spawn units that will fight the opponent's units, the spawned units aren't limited to said units however, there are buildings, turrets, and even walls. Yep, solid hard walls. There are even spell cards, and abilities, or minions that use a spell on summon, or have this ability they will use while fighting.

In addition, the game also has the Masters, sorta like the user's Avatar in a battle. Each Master has their own normal auto-action, and skills, yep, skills with an 's'. These skills depend on which master is being used, and the player's level in a battle (in each battle, each player starts at level 0, and levels up by having control of the bridges in-game).

Minion Masters, is a really fun game. I didn't even realize the time, since I honestly just tried it out on a whim, not expecting much, and again. I. Was. Surprised. Gameplay is fun, watching minions fight is fun, it delivered on its promises. I am the master of the minions.

If you like watching your minions die, or kill other enemy minions, and card collecting, this game is for you.

My Rating:
(8/10)

Good Stuffs:
  • Explosions
  • Music
  • Voice Acting
  • Better graphics than that mobile game
  • The minions
  • Master skillz (those abilities are game changers, and both sides have them o.o)
  • Achievable stuff in-game without paying (the grind doesn't feel like a grind, it feels like progress, think Hearthstone, but it doesn't take a grand amount of dust to craft one card and you get dust every time you open a loot box)
  • Free to Play
Not so good stuffs:
  • People who've played longer will probably win (since they probably have cooler cards/knows what counters yours)
  • Needs more cards
  • The shop (where you can use in-game currency and the paid currency), is quite messy/too much info for eyes
  • Needs more game modes
What do you mean I'm out of Power to get more cards? I need UNLIMITED POWAH!
